Rokas Law Firm, in cooperation with Compact S.A., offers two innovative e-learning seminars on the distribution of (re)insurance products, covering Sector B of P.E.E. 169/29.04.2020 and the continuing professional training obligations under Law 4583/2018.

Participants in the seminars will have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge, stay informed about the latest developments in the (re)insurance market, and receive training on specialized sector-related topics (e.g. IBIPs, PRIIPs, etc.).

The seminars are addressed to registered (re)insurance intermediaries, as well as executives and employees of insurance companies who are directly involved in the distribution of (re)insurance products. Upon successful completion of the assessment, a certificate of attendance is issued, which may be submitted to the competent Chamber as proof of compliance with continuing training requirements.

Participation in the seminars requires only basic knowledge of the (re)insurance sector, namely possession of the initial certification granted by the Bank of Greece.

Rokas Law at the 2^nd Lawyers’ run  

On February 23, our team participated in the 2nd Lawyers’ Run, an inspiring event held at the OAKA Stadium and flawlessly organized by SDEE (Σύνδεσμος Δικηγορικών Εταιρειών Ελλάδος). As an association dedicated to fostering collaboration and excellence within the legal profession, SDEE once again demonstrated its commitment to meaningful initiatives.

This year, we ran for a great cause, supporting the Cerebral Palsy Greece/Open Door Association (Εταιρεία Προστασίας Σπαστικών/Πόρτα Ανοικτή) and Aurora – Together Against Hematological Diseases (Μαζί Ενάντια στα Αιματολογικά Νοσήματα).

A dedicated group of 12 volunteer runners represented Rokas Law Firm, embracing the values of teamwork, perseverance, and social responsibility. Each participant successfully crossed the finish line, proving that determination is not only a key trait in the legal field but also on the track!

Special congratulations to Dorianna Tsavdaridou for securing the BRONZE medal in the 1KM race!

The challenges faced by Greek companies in implementing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) obligations vary depending on the market in which they operate, as well as their size and focus, such as products or services. ESG requirements are gradually being defined and enforced, while the rules for measuring and evaluating compliance are evolving slowly. Although this allows businesses time to adapt, it also introduces complexity, uncertainty, and costs.

Starting with environmental improvement, businesses need to thoroughly understand which operations contribute most significantly to environmental impact through their overall activities, as well as identify available technologies or improvement techniques. For example, only a few companies have thoroughly explored the detailed contribution of various activities to their overall environmental footprint. In the realm of social improvement, the scope is vast, and each business can contribute its unique impact.

At this juncture, the critical role of governance comes into play. Effective governance requires a dedicated team focused on understanding relevant issues, managing proposals, executing initiatives, and most importantly, fostering an internal culture that embraces ESG values. In our view, public education efforts should also be strengthened to foster broader awareness among citizens on ESG matters.

“Rokas Law Firm Joins Race for the Cure to Support Breast Cancer Awareness”

On September 29th, Rokas Law Firm proudly participated in the annual Race for the Cure, held at Zappeion in support of the fight against breast cancer. This event, organized by ALMA ZOIS, brought together thousands of participants, all united in raising awareness and supporting women affected by the disease.

The event’s emotional resonance was captured in the words of the President of ALMA ZOIS: “Each of us may participate for our own reasons, but together we walk the path of raising awareness for prevention and standing by those in need, showcasing the strength of solidarity.”

Wearing pink and white t-shirts, each participant symbolized a unique story. Pink t-shirts represented resilience and survival, while white t-shirts stood as a symbol of solidarity and support. Every step taken by our team was a step toward tangible change, as the funds raised through this event directly contribute to year-round free programs that assist women facing breast cancer.

Through our participation, Rokas Law Firm contributes to the empowerment of individuals and the promotion of mutual support, ensuring that no woman faces this battle alone. We firmly believe that together, we are stronger than breast cancer.
