Heading Rokas’ Corporate and M&A team, she has over 25 years’ experience in composite national and cross-border transactions involving clients from regulated markets such as insurance, media, energy and e-communications, as well as general commercial undertakings. She has engaged in the establishment, acquisition, restructuring and integration of financial conglomerates in Greece and SEE. She also actively engages in regulatory and advisory practice with emphasis on insurance and financial law and licensing, telecommunications and pharmaceuticals.
Her recent indicative experience includes:
- Cross-border merger by way of absorption of a Greek MGA by a Luxembourg insurance company;
- Project of public procurement and concession granting for the construction and operation of an Underground off shore Gas Storage facility in Greece;
- Legal advice on the launching of an e-scooter sharing system in Athens, in view of the lack of a specific applicable legal framework;
- Establishment of a new insurance company via a spin-off of composite licensed insurance company and the ensuing transfer of the original insurer to a third party purchaser;
- Greek electricity Transmission System Operator ownership unbundling from the electricity incumbent;
- Transformation of a regulated insurance branch (of a non-EEA insurer) into a regulated insurance undertaking in Greece, in a tax neutral transaction.
Alkistis further leads an active advisory practice on (re)insurance and (re)insurance distribution regulation.

She has thorough regional knowledge of the SE European area through working closely with Rokas’ regional offices and through her direct involvement in EU funded projects aiming at the integration of the acquis communautaire in the fields of insurance and of regulated utility networks (energy).
