Alexis Foskinis

Born in Athens, Greece; Member of the Athens Bar since 1995.

Alexis has developed substantial expertise over two decades as practicing lawyer in advisory and litigation work, including in the areas of corporate and commercial law, M&As, administrative law, finance law, employment law, civil and criminal law, competition law, intellectual property (trademarks and patents) law, compliance issues, contracts (commercial, procurement, manufacturing, toll filling, warehousing and transport services agreements, MoUs, RfPs), regulatory affairs (monitoring market-police and competition legislation, consulting), real estate (specialised in commercial lease negotiations, agreements and litigation).

Among other things, his extensive experience has been also gained from working as an in-house lawyer at “Coca-Cola HBC Greece S.A.I.C.” and at “Carrefour-Marinopoulos S.A.”, following a decade during which he held posts as an Associate at law firms, during which he has been consulting numerous companies on the above-mentioned issues.

His experience also includes a Stage at the European Commission in Brussels (DG XI – Environment and Nuclear Safety, Unit A-4 – International Affairs, Commerce and Environment), where his work involved monitoring, analysis and preparation of GATT panels, and negotiations within the U.N. and the OECD framework on ECO trademark and environment safety.

His recent experience indicatively involves:

• Numerous high end real estate transactions predominantly in summer villas and hotel sector;
• legal advice to Astir Palace Vouliagmenis SA, the operator of one of the most prominent complex of hotels and resorts in the Athens Riviera, as well as to other companies operating in the tourism industry on a variety of corporate and commercial legal issues arising from its daily operations;
• legal services to foreign and Greek investors in the real estate sector all over Greece including, but not limited to, legal search, negotiation, drafting and representation before notary public, golden visa, etc.;
• legal advice on various lease matters, especially related to commercial, industrial and logistics properties;
• defence of a Special Liquidator before the Greek Courts in a case against the local municipality and the State;

• legal support to an industrial estate’s operator (including the provisions of law drafting services) in relation to the various issues arising during its activities;
• monitoring of all MTPL litigation cases of foreign and domestic insurers in relation to their activities in Greece;
• preparation and continuous monitoring of numerous litigation cases concerning the collection of amounts payable by hospitals to pharmaceutical companies.
