Rokas was one of the sponsors in the IVth Pan-European Conference of AIDA Europe London (Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances) on 13th -14th of September 2012.
Around 300 delegates – constituting a cross-sectional, representative body of experts that included claims professionals, regulatory officials, underwriters, in-house counsel, private practice lawyers, academics and judges from all continents – attended the Conference. Keynote speaker was Prof. Karel van Hulle, Head of Unit for Insurance and Pensions, DG Internal Market and Services, European Commission.
Rokas (Athens) participated actively in the works of the conference through Prof. Dr. I. Rokas – senior partner (who made an introductory briefing on “The most innovative rules of the draft EU Intermediary Directive 2 and the online insurance mediation”) in his capacity as Chairman of the AIDA World Working Group “Distribution of Insurance Products” and through Alkistis Cristofilou – partner, who delivered a speech on “Online Selling and the Regulator”.
